BusinessObjects Data Integrator (DI) Contractor
The ETL Designer will be responsible for designing, building, testing, maintaining, documenting and adapting the data flow among the client’s various business systems for a data warehouse implementation. The ETL Designer will work closely with both the IT and business communities to accomplish this goal.
Duties:
- Design and develop efficient processes to extract, transform and load disparate data from multiple sources using SAP Data Integrator / Data Services
- Integrate ETL processing with data quality processing
- Provide process flow documentation
- Test and implement efficient processing methods
- Perform and document unit testing
- Support integration testing and UAT
- Perform data quality analysis
- Support production load processes, trouble shoot issues, and correct load problems
- Develop data cleansing and error processing routines
- Must have experience with Data Modeling (star Schemas, data warehouse design concepts and best practice etc)
- Help with Data Modeling into an existing Data Warehouse
Required Elements:
- Senior ETL developer/designer with 2 years SAP BusinessObjects Data Integrator (11.7) / Data Services experience
- Sports fan a BIG BIG plus. i.e. football or baseball
- 2+ years experience using SAP Data Integrator / Data Services ETL tool
- Preparation/maintenance of documentation on all aspects of ETL processes
- Understanding of data warehouses, particularly dimensional modeling
- DB2, iSeries experience a plus, proficient in ANSI SQL; DB2 iSeries stored procedure development
- Must work well in a team environment and be a self-starter
Desired Elements:
- Experience using data quality tools such as FirstLogic, Business Objects DQXI or Data Services
- Business Objects XI configuration and development experience
