Staying Ahead of the Curve
I started working for Chateaux a little less than a year ago. It has been a professional experience unlike any other I’ve had before. I have worked for companies of different sizes, structures, and cultures; some large organizations, some very small ones. Just like Goldilocks not until I started working at Chateaux did I find the one that was just right!
Company culture and environment are extremely important factors to my happiness at a job. The team at Chateaux was welcoming from Day One. There were no cliques or alliances to negotiate, no unspoken rules to figure out; everything I needed to know was explained to me, and everyone was eager to help me get onboard.
Since the back-end office staff of Chateaux is relatively small, it is a good thing we all get along and work well together. I don’t think this is by accident. I was interviewed many times over to be sure I was the right fit for the position and for the team. And we really are just that - a team. I’ve never seen or worked for a company like Chateaux; there seems to be a complete lack of internal competitiveness while still maintaining a strong drive to succeed and grow.
What I have benefitted from the most here at Chateaux is the culture of learning that is fostered through our everyday working environment. I am constantly challenged to improve the way that things are done. Rather than the ‘if it's not broke, don’t fix it’ mentality, the management team often takes a ‘stay ahead of the curve’ approach. The great thing is that there are always people to learn from and give thoughtful feedback. No one at Chateaux is afraid to give an honest opinion, which always makes the final product more successful.
Chateaux provides a comfortable, yet challenging, work environment. I continue to look forward to coming to work every day and being a part of the team!
