The Problem
The Network Login Group for one of the world's largest internet service providers, handling all daily logins for AOL, MSN, Mindspring and Earthlink users, needed ad-hoc KPI metrics as well as ad-hoc query ability for data mining specialists for their 20+ million rows of data per day.
The Solution
Chateaux's solution was to work with our client's DBAs, Data Modelers, Network Operations, and Business Users to design, implement and deliver a Business Intelligence strategy covering both functional and technological requirements. Chateaux's custom solution used a Business Objects Web Intelligence solution covering call volume and metrics with respect to the logins, with the stated objective of delivering higher quality to the trouble-shooting and network operations groups. Included in the delivery of this system were complete business analysis from both a functional and technological viewpoint, including methods of delivery of reports, web-enabled delivery, security, training and follow-up support.
The Result
Internal analysis that used to take several weeks to compile can now be completed in several hours. This allows the organization to analyze and forecast their result easier and quicker. Senior managers can now view KPI's across various divisions while analysts can delve into the same data from the same place. Management can now measure, in near-real time, how their divisions are doing versus how they previously did, allowing them to be proactive in their decision making process.
