you will find a company that knows not only the technology but also the business.
Several years ago one of our esteemed colleagues mentioned that the reason he had come to work with us was that, in his words, we "had it together."
When we asked him what he meant, he said, "Well, you know, I'm not a youngster anymore, and now that I'm a little older and I've pretty much picked my career in Business Intelligence, I've decided that I really want to work with folks who could teach me new things. You folks are great. You are courteous and fun to work with, of course, but what really strikes me is that you have this passion for your work and the way you go about solving problems is really terrific. I've noticed that you don't just do what your clients tell you to do, but instead you offer suggestions based on your past experience. As I watch you work, I'm very aware of how you listen first, and then guide clients to make sure they're getting educated at every step. That's what I mean by 'having it together.'"
We said, "Oh, you mean we're pedagogical in our approach."
He said, "What?"
But besides the big words, we really do take an educational approach to our engagements. We stick to what we're good at, and we mentor our clients and always try to bring new ideas to the table. We're trusted advisors in the truest sense of the word. In fact, we keep copies of David Maister's "Trusted Advisor" prominently displayed in our office and encourage all new employees to read it thoroughly.
Give us a call. Talk to us about our "Lunch and Learn" program, or any other topic in the realm of Business Intelligence. We might not have the answer at the tip of our tongues (although it's highly likely we will), but if we don't we'll be sure to get you the right information as soon as possible.
