Business Intelligence Technologist (Westport, CT): Resp for leading the requirement gathering/ dsgn (logical / physical modeling) / dvlpmt of decision support systems to facilitate the assessment of results allowing in-depth analysis & data-driven decision making; Work closely with team members & analysts to perform business analysis & to translate business requirements into tech’l specifications & interpret data results; Define functional specifications; document business processes, data entities, data producers & consumers & data dependencies between various departments; Perform tech’l dvlpmt / tuning of SQL / OLAP cubes & views; Dsgn / develop semantic layer / reports (certified with tools like Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Xcelsius) & develop iterative prototypes for users & guide them through effective testing (Unit/ Integration / Regression testing) to ensure data & model integrity; Integrate multiple sources of info for decision support systems; Serve as a key resource in business intelligence methodologies & work collaboratively with the tech’l teams & business units.
Min Reqs: Bach’s deg in Comp Sci., Engg, or equiv + 2 yrs exp. performing business analysis translating business requirements into tech’l specifications; SQL dvlpmt & tuning & tech’l dvlpmt of OLAP cubes / views. Exp. must incl the integration of multiple sources of info for decision support systems & experience with Unit testing, integration testing & regression testing.
